It has inspired us to spread the festival brand to other markets. After just four years, Breakaway Columbus has grown into a large-scale festival home to over 25,000 attendees. We started this festival by combining urban living with a carefully curated, multi-genre lineup that festival-goers of all ages and music preferences could enjoy. Managing partner Adam Lynn made the following statement about the anticipated festival: Previously, EDM bookings at Breakaway have also included Grammy-winner Zedd, international superstars Galantis and Diplo, trap-lord RL Grime, Australia’s Empire of the Sun, bass-god Bassnectar, Dillon Francis, the Electronic Music Awards ‘Artist of the Year’ Alison Wonderland, “Worlds” mastermind Porter Robinson, OWSLA queen Mija, and house aficionado Malaa as well as Oliver Heldens, Gryffin and many more. Prime Social Group has also hosted explosive hip-hop stars like Blackbear, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, Desiigner, and D.R.A.M. among many others. Previously, Breakaway festivals have hosted hip-hop heavyweights including Chance the Rapper, Grammy-winner Kendrick Lamar, Billboard chart-topping Rae Sremmurd, Grammy-nominated Lil Uzi Vert and Travis Scott, and Atlanta-Trap star Playboi Carti. The 2018 line-up will be announced in the coming weeks. For the first time, PSG plans to expand Columbus Breakaway to a 3-day festival, as well as Charlotte to a 2-day festival. The festival then visits Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina in August and October. ![]() This year’s Breakaway Music Festival debuts in Texas on April 7.
